One thing we struggled with is that our whole plan for a project failed half way through the deep unit. At first we planned to use Anemone crabs, not gold fish. We planned out our whole project, wrote down background information, prepared for deep tank with our crab project, and even purchased, orders, and received the crabs. Unfortunately after receiving the crabs and taking them home for the weekend, they passed away. Rest in piece Milly, Rock, Squirt, and Smush. They were not eating the food. This complicated our project a lot because all the research we had done in the past would go to waist and we needed to come up with a new plan fast. Next class we talk to Mr. Harlan and he recommended us using goldfish, a very easy to keep alive species, rather than Anemone crabs, very delicate creatures. This opstical was a good lesson for us to learn because it caused us to think ahead and be more thorough while planning our next project and this also applies to many circumstances in life.
